Janet Chaffee finds inspiration in the patterns and and designs of antique lace. Lace invokes delicacy but it's also resilient and full of personal history. Ms.Chaffee often coats her work in a beeswax skin that creates a thick patina suffused with poetic nuance. Her work emerges from a deep emotive space that speaks of moments both ancient and modern. The work of Heidi Lingamfelter seeks to describe the stillness in the mutable rush of events. Her images present nature in repose, quiet and elegant.
