Took a Saturday afternoon trip to Albany, Texas to see Brad Tucker's latest installation as part of the Cell Series at the Old Jail Art Center.
The Cell Series is a wonderful series of exhibitions curated by Pat Kelly that focuses on emerging and established Texas artists. I wish Albany was a hundred miles closer to Dallas.
For Brad's site specific installation in two almost identical jail cells he built the work based on his recent adventure in Real Estate. The separate installations nearly mirror each other and magnify the differences resulting in contemplation and satisfaction.
The first Installation you encounter as you climb the stairs into the 2nd floor cells.
