Dallas Museum of Art - Concentrations 54

Visited the latest Concentrations exhibition at the DMA.  I hope the DMA continues this series of exhibitions, however they need to ensure that one artist is from Texas.  Seeing Fergus Feehily's work was much anticipated by me and it did not disappoint.  I wish I could have taken photos but didn't want to receive the wrath of the lonely security guard nor my wife banning me from having a camera.  I love the fragil look of the work as well as simple and sometimes found materials.  My favorite was "Beach Diagram" which I could not find an image.

"Into the Garden", 2009, oil on MDF, wood, screws.

Juergen Teller @ Dallas Contemporary

One more visit to the Juergen Teller exhibition at the Dallas Contemporary on Sunday.  This time Stacey came along with me.  I did take a picture of my favorite piece in the show, Kate Moss in a wheelbarrow.

The Dallas Contemporary has become one of my favorite places to see art.

Eric Doeringer bootlegs

"The Bootlegs are unauthorized copies of artworks by more than 100 different contemporary artists. The series includes paintings, sculpture, photographs, drawings, collage, and video. Most of the paintings are created using a combination of collage and acrylic paint. This allows me to reproduce them quickly while maintaining the look of a hand-painted picture. The works are created in open editions -- when I sell out of a particular design, I make more." Eric Doeringer
