Sonic Architectonic opening event

Made the trip to UTD in punishing Friday evening traffic along the George Bush Turnpike for the Sonic Architectonic opening.  It was well worth the trip.  I was able to catch-up with many as we now move well into 2012.  It was nice to see and visit with Stephen Lapthisophon.  Brad Tucker, what can I say, it was so nice to catch-up with him and see his latest installation.  Brad's work has been a long time favorite of mine.

Leslie Wilkes "Untitled" and Robert Ortega "Frequency Patterns".

Derrick  Buisch "Parts"

One of the sources for Stephen Lapthisophon's sound installations. "Songs for a New Century ["Philosophers have hitherto only interpreted the world in various ways; the point is to change it. "Karl Marx, 1845, Theses On Feuerbach], 2012. (CJ Davis, voice)

Michelle Rawlings at Oliver Francis Gallery

Stopped by Oliver Francis Gallery opening to see Michelle Rawlings exhibition.  There was no seeing art tonight - the place was so jamed packed that it definitely a social event.  I will go back for a closer look later.

Visited Michael Wynne's Studio, part II

Trash sculptures are an important part of Michael's work, however I want to share part of the studio.  The studio is quite large and filled with numerous works throughout Michael's career.

A couple of pictures in the neighborhood around the Kirvin studio.

A good friend of Michael's environment.
