BS studio visit.

Stopped by Bruce Schiefelbein's studio on the last day of the year to see what he's been up to.  Bruce was just started working on his "After Picasso" work for a group show at Nancy Margolis Gallery in New York next summer.  Artists were invited to submit a 12x9 painting of a work of art from MOMA's collection. Tony Cragg at the Nasher Sculpture Center

Visited the Tony Cragg exhibition "Seeing Things" at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas today.  The exhibition space was overcrowded which was surprising for a museum of this caliber.  The work was polished and ready for that corporate installation.

It seems to be Michael Mazurek's year.  This is the 4th exhibition this year alone that I have seen his work.  This time at the new Oliver Francis Gallery which also has a promising future.

Kevin Ruben Jacobs, an art student at UTA, opened Oliver Francis Gallery on Peak Street near Deep Ellum last July.  The gallery, is an experimental 1,000 square-foot art space that shows current work and projects by local artists that engages, challenges and pushes boundaries.
